An agent can carry its own model, so the right work runs on the right one without you switching by hand. Three modes:
Inherit runs the agent on whatever the chat is already using. This is the default.
Tier runs it on your High, Medium or Low tier for whichever connection is active, so a planner on High and a formatter on Low both survive the next model rename.
Model pins one connection and one model. PandaOS switches the harness when the agent starts and switches back when it finishes.
An agent can also override reasoning effort, so a reviewer thinks harder than the chat that called it. The first time an agent switches model on its own, PandaOS says so, and the Tools menu in the chat bar turns agent-driven switching off entirely.
An agent editor, with the model set to a tier rather than one model name.
