Progress
Plans that survive the conversation: slices, stages and the checkpoints that stop for you.
Turn on Work State first
The Progress tab only appears when Work State is on. With it off there is no tab, no plans and no gates. It can also be switched on or off for a single chat.
What it is
Some work is worth seeing the shape of before it starts. Progress holds that shape: a plan made of slices, each a thin piece of the job with one thing that has to be true when it is done.
It lives outside the chat on purpose. A chat scrolls away; the plan does not, so a second chat can pick up work the first one left.
How a slice moves
A slice is claimed by one chat at a time and walks its stages: design where the work needs a UI decision, build, then review. Leaving a stage needs whatever that stage asks for, usually a written account of what was actually checked.
Tasks are ticked off as they are finished, and the panel shows what is left.
Checkpoints
A plan can carry gates: points where the work stops and waits for you, rather than carrying on and asking forgiveness. They appear as a card in the chat. Approving one lets the slices behind it start.
Approvals and questions from a running agent appear the same way, so the chat stays the place you answer and the panel stays the place you look.
