Theme and layout
Theme picks light, dark or follow the system. Layout chooses the shape of the window itself, and Sidebar and Dock decide where those two sit and how much room they take.
Interface carries the smaller choices: UI scale, the accent colour, spellcheck and code ligatures.
Theme
PandaOS ships a set of light and dark themes rather than a single pair. Pick one directly, or follow the system and nominate which theme is used in light mode and which in dark. A tint colour re-colours accents across the interface on top of whichever theme is active.
Interface

Layout & Dock
Style switches the window shell between the standard chrome and the frameless one. Position puts the dock on the side or the bottom, and the dock has its own style and background colour or gradient. The two are coupled: some shells only make sense with certain dock positions, so PandaOS keeps them consistent for you.
Sidebar
The project sidebar is configurable down to its details: Default Project Icon, Project Background, Project Font Size, whether the Recent section appears, and the sidebar's own background colour or gradient. These are cosmetic only, nothing here changes behaviour.
Appearance is one of the profile-scoped tabs, so a profile can carry a completely different look.
UI Scale
Below the theme picker, choose a UI Scale:

| 100% | Default, standard sizing |
| 110% | Comfortable, slightly larger text and elements |
| 120% | Large, easier to read, fewer items visible |
The scale affects all text, buttons, icons, and spacing throughout the app.
Terminal Appearance
In Settings > General > Terminal:
- Font Size, adjust the terminal font size with
+and-buttons. Affects both the agent terminal and the independent terminal panel.
Terminal fonts use the stack: Geist Mono, JetBrains Mono, Fira Code, monospace.
Code Syntax Highlighting
Code blocks in PandaOS's chat responses use theme-aware syntax highlighting:
- Dark themes use the One Dark color scheme
- Light themes use the One Light color scheme
The highlighting automatically adapts when you switch themes.
