Values never enter the chat
The agent reads and writes through the panel rather than opening a
.envin the editor, which is what keeps a secret out of the conversation and out of the transcript.
What it holds
PandaOS finds the .env files in your project and lists them here with their values hidden. Variables are added, edited and removed from the panel.
Access, per variable
Each variable carries its own level:
- No access. The agent cannot see it at all.
- Read only. The agent can read the value but not change it.
- Full. The agent can read and write it.
Set them once and the answer holds for every chat in the project. A variable the agent cannot reach is reported as blocked rather than quietly skipped, so a failing task says why.
